The brief was to convert a once rarely used paved courtyard into a winter and summer retreat.

The clients wanted full access to both the beautifully landscaped gardens and the private pool, hence the combination of pool house and garden room was designed for both uses.

The clients are used to beautiful things and wanted the room to reflect not only the warmth of summer, but the warmth of those winter days as well and so the open fire is a main focal point.

Uses of recycled hardwood floors are not only practical but warm in wither and the vaulted ceilings gives the room the feel of a grand space.
