When commissioned to build this room the clients were specific in their needs.

Plenty of lights on the dark winter days, able to open the room to the garden in summer, the heat of an open fire and the use of lots of natural products.

We put enormous effect into the design of the rooms from the light well with louvers to let the hot summer air escape, the double glazing with solar tint to reduce heat noise and UV light fading furniture.

The use of granite ledge stone for the fireplace and exterior, the lime stone floors are not only practical by give you a warm earthy feel.

The combination of blanket box and book case seats is not only practical but offer the views to the bay and a perfect reading spot.

The clients wanted a non-obtrusive music system and no television. This room was for conversation, reading and reflection.

Our clients took advantage of our interior design service and Amanda was commissioned to source ad decorate the room, using Antiques and new pieces, and the overall fee of the rooms is due to this input.
